Singer Ashlee Simpson and rocker Pete Wentz were married on Saturday, May 17th in a ceremony at the Simpson Family Home in Encino, California. The bride's sister, singer Jessica Simpson arrived at the affair and served as maid-of-honor for the event. Jessica was accompanied to the lavish wedding by her boyfriend, football player Tony Romo.

Nick Hogan Sentenced To 8 Months In Jail

Nick Hogan (the 17 year old son of legendary WWF {now WWE} wrestler Hulk Hogan) was in court before a Florida judge today in Tampa in his felony reckless driving case . Nick pled 'no contest' to the charge and was sentenced to eight months in jail, five years' probation and 500 hours community service. Nick's license was also suspended for 3 years as a result of this case.


Nick (real name Nicholas Allen Bollea) gained media attention on the VH1 hit cable reality show "Hogan Knows Best" alongside his mother Linda and his sister Brooke (who is now a singer with a debut album sitting on music store shelves). The show revolved around Nick's famous dad, Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) and the Hulkster's quest to balance family life and his career as a professional wrestler.

Singer Mariah Carey who recently turned 38 several weeks ago, reportedly has secretly married her recent boyfriend, 26 year old actor Nick Cannon in a ceremony in the Bahamas at a home Mariah recently purchased there.

This would be Mariah Carey's second marriage; she was previously married to Tommy Mottola (who is now married to Latin singer Thalia).

This would be Nicholas Cannon's first marriage; he was engaged to model Selita Ebanks and linked to singer Christina Milian and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

Amy Winehouse Says "No, No, No!" To Divorce

Singer Amy Winehouse has denied to the press that she and husband Blake Fielder-Civil (currently in jail) are getting a divorce. Winehouse says the rumors are not true and that she and Blake will "be together forever".

Winehouse's parents and close friends have confirmed to several media outlets that Amy is dating her manager's assistant while her husband Blake is in jail.

Uma Thurman Due In NYC Court Tomorrow To Testify Against Her Stalker

UPDATE: JACK JORDAN, UMA'S STALKER, CONVICTED AND SENTENCED TO 1 YEAR IN JAIL. (MAY 2008)

Actress Uma Thurman is due in Manhattan Criminal Court in NYC on Thursday to testify against a man who has been stalking her for the past 2 years.

Yesterday, Thurman's parents testified in the courtroom and made clear that the stalker Jack Jordan, a former mental patient, needs serious psychiatric help and they hope he receives just that in lieu of jail time.

Dr. Robert Thurman is Uma's father and a professor at Columbia University. Dr. Thurman testified yesterday to receiving more than 20 e-mails from the alleged stalker regarding his famous daughter.

Brigitte Thurman, Uma's mother, testified that she received lots of phone calls from the stalker and that she explained to him that her daughter Uma has no interest in him and that he is living a fantasy.

The stalker, Jack Jordan is 37 years old and has been very irate toward the media in front of the Manhattan Criminal Court when approached for questioning.

Yesterday (April 29) was Uma Thurman's 38th birthday.

Wesley Snipes Sentenced To 36 Months in Jail For Failing To File Tax Return

Actor Wesley Snipes was sentenced to 3 years behind bars (the maximum sentence he faced) for failing to file a tax return. The other more serious charges were dropped prior to Snipes' sentencing yesterday in a Florida courtroom.

Snipes was not immediately taken into custody.

Amy Winehouse Arrested In London

Grammy winning singer Amy Winehouse was arrested earlier today and is expected to be held in police custody at least until midnight tonight on suspicion of assault for an incident where Winehouse allegedly headbutted two men at trendy London nightclub.

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Relapsed In NYC

Actress/singer Lindsay Lohan reportedly relapsed while clubbing with girlfriend Samantha Ronson this past weekend at the Hawaiian Tropic Party in NYC. Lohan was said to also have screamed at Ashley Olsen when Olsen approached Ronson in the DJ booth to say hello.




Lohan allegedly said to Ashley Olsen:

Lohan also reportedly opened a Facebook account named "Lindsay Ronson", shedding some light possibly on a much speculated and heated romance between Lohan and Samantha Ronson, who is the sister of mega musician Mark Ronson. La Lohan's destructive behavior after completing a recent stint in rehab is reportedly due to her parent's recently re-ignited and very public divorce and custody battle on Long Island, NY as well as their erratic public behavior and unauthorized statements to the media on everything (especially Michael Lohan's recent rants to the press about Lindsay doing missionary work with him and his church in Times Square and abroad).

Treach of Naughty By Nature Arrested In Newark, New Jersey

Treach of the 1990's rap group Naughty By Nature, was arrested early yesterday afternoon after being caught by police driving the wrong way down a street in Newark, NJ nearby a broad daylight shooting scene.

Police arrested Treach (real name Anthony Criss) after pulling over his burgundy colored Hummer and discovered that Treach had on a bulletproof vest. The 37 year old rapper was then arrested on the scene and his vehicle was towed away.

In 1999, Treach married longtime girlfriend Pepa of the 1980's-1990's female rap group Salt N Pepa. He has a daughter named Egypt from his relationship with Pepa (real name Sandy Denton). Treach and Pepa were divorced in 2001.

Britney Spears To Return To CBS Comedy "How I Met Your Mother"

Britney Spears will be returning to CBS' Monday night primetime comedy "How I Met Your Mother" after receiving rave reviews, with critics calling her initial stint "a comeback worthy performance" by the Pop Princess.


Britney will reprise her role on the show for one more episode, playing a ditzy yet sweet receptionist/secretary.

Richie Sambora Takes Plea Deal In DUI Case

Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora took a plea bargain deal in court this week that left him with essentially no jail time in his DUI incident.

Sambora pled no contest to one charge of DUI. For that charge, the rocker received 3 years probation, alcohol education and awareness classes and a fine.

In addition the other count of DUI was dropped and the related child endangerment charge for having daughter Ava in the car with him at the time of his DUI arrest, was dropped as well. Ava, 10, is Sambora's daughter from his marriage to now ex-wife, actress Heather Locklear.

Former "The View" Host Star Jones To Divorce Husband Al Reynolds

Attorney and TV Personality Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly four years, Al Reynolds. Star released this statement to the media:

"Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."

Star and Al were married in November of 2004. Star served as a co-host for the long-running female morning talk show "The View" on ABC from 1997-2006. Star was unoffically replaced by Rosie O'Donnell, who filled in officially for Meredith Viera after Viera's departure from the show to host on NBC's Today show. Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepard eventually filled the slots left vacant by Viera and Jones.

Foxy Brown Gets Released From Rikers Island Today

Rapper Foxy Brown (real name Inga Marchand) was released from Rikers Island Jail in NYC today after seving 8 months of her 1 year sentence there. The rapper has a May 5th court date in Brooklyn for a separate incident where Foxy allegedly hit a neighbor in the mouth with a Blackberry causing injuries to the victim.

Foxy served her sentence out at the Rose Singer Women's Jail on Hazen Street in Astoria/ Long Island City, Queens NY (Riker's Island Women's facility).

Britney Spears In Talks To Become Spokesperson For Bally's Total Fitness

Singer Britney Spears is reportedly in negotiations with Bally's Total Fitness to become the company's new spokesperson. The talks are happening via Britney's manager Larry Rudolph.

BREAKING NEWS: Cameron Diaz's Father Dies Suddenly At Age 58

Actress Cameron Diaz's father, Emilio Diaz, died earlier this morning in California from complications resulting from pneumonia. Sources say the late Mr. Diaz was in good health, which makes his death all the more shocking.


Cameron's father Emilio did contract the flu (the Influenza virus) and the flu turned to pnuemonia, which reportedly resulted in his untimely death today.

Production was shut down today on Cameron Diaz's latest film My Sister's Keeper because of her father's passing.

Beyonce Knowles Is Possibly Planning To Work As Husband Jay-Z's Talent Scout

Singer, actress and entertainer Beyonce Knowles is reportedly planning to retire from performing after recording her next album in order to serve as a talent scout for her new husband, rapper Jay-Z and his record label, Island Def Jam. Allegedly, Beyonce has already found her first recruit, according to one of Beyonce's cousins via a statement to the media.

Rapper Nelly Speaks On Relationship With Ashanti on BET's 106th and Park

Rapper Nelly appeared on BET's 106th and Park live music video countdown show yesterday evening in NYC to discuss his new and upcoming music after a brief hiatus he took from the industry.



He also talked about his relationship with his girlfriend, singer Ashanti. He said that the premise of Ashanti's latest video for her hit single "The Way That I Love You" from her upcoming album The Declaration, was not about him. He said the video was shot over a year ago and that there is no similarities between the relationship depicted in her video, in which Ashanti plays herself in a relationship with a cheating lover, whom she cuts up with a knife and murders and is subsequently arrested and sent to jail (remember folks this happened ONLY in the music video!)



Nelly also explained that Ashanti received no support for her new single or upcoming album from what he called her "support team" (could he mean Irv Gotti and The INC.?) and that she had to "go at it alone on her own" to get her new project to be the way it has turned out (although her new album is being released through The INC and Universal Records).

Chloe Lattanzi Rocks The House On MTV's "Rock The Cradle"

Chloe Lattanzi worked the stage and the crowd, performing last but definitely not least, on MTV's Rock The Cradle last Thursday.

Chloe performed I Hate Everything About You by rockers 3 Days Grace and she really got into the performance, even more than the prior week when she performed Never Tear Us Apart by INXS (when INXS was led by the late Michael Hutchince, who died November 1997). Although I also like Landon Brown a lot, Chloe is the whole package. Landon needs a tad bit of work on his vocals, although he is good in every other aspect.

Chloe is my favorite. Let's hope she goes all the way to the finals!
